Labor Day in Osprey

The summer is winding down and I am starting to get “antsy” to move on. I will be heading south for Charleston about the 15th of Sept. I plan on going to Ross Marine to have the boat pulled out and have the bottom and sides painted, Nomad is looking kind of used right now. I want to “pretty her up” before I get to Florida. Living aboard here has been “restful”, in that it is too far in the sticks to have much of a social life. I have been going out now and again, movies, dinners, and the theater (Full Monty & Damn Yankees), and a few parties also, but it is getting time to move on.

This is a good night. I’m listening to great blues, watching a beautiful sunset, observing the social dance of the docks and everything is perfect. Then I was just thinking , “Hay, I’ve been here before”. Then it hit me; I was about to say “It doesn’t get any better than this” when I realized that I have said this exact thing maybe 100 times in the last year.

  1. Say hello to the goats for me. Guess you answered the questions I asked, thanks. Now I know what you meant by heading south to FL. Still not sure about the “commingled” tho’. Bon voyage Pirate King.
