It’s a beautiful night here in Savannah. Slight chill in the air, but still warm enough to sit outside without a shirt on. Hurricane Sandy is coming and you can feel it. I’m all battened down and secure, only looking at 30-40 knt winds, been through that before so no worries. I was just thinking that I could still be in California, getting ready for bed, work in the morning, but I’m here; It doesn’t get any better than this!

Mother, mother ocean, I have heard you call
Sandy came and went here with hardly a ripple. Wind never made it to 25 knts, no rain. Hope the north has it as good, but they won’t.
Hope your family left in NY and environs survived Sandy with little disruption, and are all safe.
